The controversial FIITJEE Noida centre, which abruptly shut down last year, has reopened under the name FIITJEE 2.0. While a handful of students have resumed their coaching, the centre has quickly found itself surrounded by controversy once again—this time with protesting parents demanding justice and transparency.

Parents Feel Duped, Again
Standing outside the Sector 62 facility, frustrated parents claim they paid between ₹5 to ₹6 lakh in fees before the coaching centre went dark overnight. With no prior notice, teachers quit en masse, and classes were abruptly halted, leaving students’ IIT preparation stranded.
Now, with the same location reopened under a new identity, the atmosphere is tense. “We got emails claiming classes were restarting,” said Satsang Kumar, one of the aggrieved parents. “But when we previously requested refunds, no one replied.”
Another parent, Mahesh, criticized the move as a deceptive facelift. “They shut down, changed the name, and expect us to believe it’s something new? It’s the same people behind it.”
Investigation in Motion
Following a flurry of complaints, the Police Commissioner initiated action. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been assembled, consolidating FIRs filed in Noida and Greater Noida. DCP Shakti Awasthi is leading the inquiry into the financial and operational irregularities.
This isn't just a case of one centre’s misconduct—it’s a moment of reckoning for the entire coaching industry, where such high-profile controversies can severely impact public trust.
Industry Reputation at Stake
With coaching institutes playing such a vital role in India’s education ecosystem, questions are now being raised about regulation, accountability, and consumer protection. If a reputed brand like FIITJEE is entangled in refund and mismanagement issues, how can parents rely on the system?
As the SIT digs deeper, the real challenge for FIITJEE 2.0 will be to not only cooperate with investigators but also win back the confidence of students and parents.
What Happens Next?
Whether the reopened centre can separate itself from the shadow of its past remains uncertain. The case is ongoing, and until a resolution emerges, the protests are unlikely to die down.
